Amadou Kéwé M’Baye, known as Kré, is a painter born in 1949 and died in 2014.
He grew up in the legendary Medina district. A self-taught artist, he attended the workshops of Pierre Lods and other artists from the first generation of the Dakar School so dear to the poet president Léopard Sédar Senghor.
Kré was a very talented and creative artist and is one of the major figures of contemporary art in Senegal.
He left us a few years ago but his works enjoy great recognition today.

This painting is part of a private collection of an art enthusiast who has been collecting works by Senegalese artists for several years.
