Dioman, an artist facing the pandemic !

Mamadou Diallo, aka Dioman, talks about his daily life in Covid-19 mode from his studio in Ouakam (Dakar).

The self-taught painter is still going strong, even though clients are becoming rare. But with borders closed, expatriates and tourists are no longer there to admire and buy his work...

Among his sources of inspiration, the young artist doesn't find the hectic, bustling street scenes of his home town, but what he does find is nature taking over.

Always positive, Dioman invites everyone to make the most of the time spent at home in confinement or during curfew. For him, everyone has to seize this opportunity to create: we have to keep moving forward!
